Thematic Creative Curriculum
Infants (6 weeks to 2 years):
The infant room provides a secure and loving environment for babies
and toddlers with developmentally appropriate toys, books, and activities.
Preschool (2 yrs. to 5 yrs.):
Chapel: Bible stories and simple Bible verses are presented to show
God's love for everyone.
Themes: Themes are used throughout the year as a basis for stories,
art, music, social studies and science. Children are encouraged to
bring objects, pictures and books relating to the current theme for
sharing with their classmates.
Language Arts: Vocabulary and reading readiness skills are developed
through games, stories, drama, poetry, discussion, letter recognition
and simple phonics.
Math: Individual and small group activities are designed to develop
numeral recognition and basic math concepts.
Science: Through experiences with plants, animals and simple experiments,
students are led to understand and appreciate the world around them.
Art: Art plays a large part in the expression and development of preschool
children. Many forms are used including easel painting, finger painting,
clay and collage.
Music: Singing, rhythmic activities, records, and simple musical instruments
are an important part of the school day.
Extra Activities: Dance & Computer classes are offered at an extra
